CUYAHOGA FALLS: Ted Davis, an officer injured after a vehicle intentionally rammed into his cruiser, was released from the hospital Friday.
The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department Facebook page posted a picture Friday of Davis in a gurney in the hospital surrounded by officers before he was released.
Davis will have to go through a rehabilitation process for his injuries, said the post, but he is “on the road to recovery.”
“Once again the family and our department is so thankful for all the well wishes and support. Please keep him in your prayers,” the post reads.
Davis has been hospitalized at Summa Akron City Hospital since July 23, when a vehicle hit three parked patrol cars, fled and intentionally rammed into Davis’ car.
Police officials don’t yet know how long his recovery will take or whether he will return to work afterward.
The suspect has not yet been charged as authorities try to determine what led to the incident.
