Take time to Chill in Akron
It’s going to be hot — doesn’t a scoop of “Over the Top Butter Pecan” sound good? A new ice cream shop is opening in downtown Akron at 10 a.m.
Chill touts ingredients from area farms and businesses, with flavors like mint julep, candied bacon bourbon, sage pecan, blueberry sorbet, chocolate milk and cookies, and Philadelphia cheesecake. It is in the Maiden Lane district, near the Nightlight Cinema, at 30 N. High St. See http://chill-icecream.com or Chill’s Facebook page.
Rock hall to host free concert
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hosts a free concert at 7 p.m. featuring three Akron-area favorites, The Bizarros, Half Cleveland and 15-60-75 aka The Numbers Band.
